Bodice

Bodice is a fashion label based in Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi. They work with integrating androgyny and the reinvention of classics with a subtle hint of irony. The brand identity was designed keeping in mind the weft and warp of the fabric, from which we were inspired to use a perfect square grid as a base for the logo, stationery, interiors and website. I was a part of a team of three graphic designers who worked on developing Bodice's identity system and print collaterals at an information design studio named Infonauts in New Delhi, India.

A contemporary ready-to-wear label that stands for modern, relevant and effortless elegance. Clean silhouettes combine impeccable tailoring with high-quality textiles. Each piece incorporates clever details highlighting label’s Indian roots.

This was an installation of almost 500 clay faces (faces of judgement) at the Amazon India Fashion Week, done exclusively for an Indian fashion label called bodice. The way we live our lives is often a response to the demands, expectations and expressions of others. We gave a unique expression to each face, which represented an emotion or an expression. The intention was to take people by surprise, so they would pause and reflect upon their perception towards others. We wanted to depict our observation of the common man and his dilemmas in a subtle manner.

At the time of the fashion show a single clay face was kept on each seat along with an explanation card. People were taken by surprise as they saw these faces when they approached their seats, it worked as a mirror made of clay.

People took these faces with them at the end of the show and they instantly started a conversation about the faces of judgment all over social media.
