Fragmented Letterforms
2026digital print, hand-cut and collaged on paper
8 × 4 inches
This collage served as the sketch for a much larger mural I was commissioned to create. The composition explores how far a letterform can be deconstructed before it stops reading as language and starts functioning as pure shape, rhythm, and color, sitting at the intersection of typography and abstraction: a piece built from letters that no longer ask to be read, only seen. The small-scale study was then scaled up 12x to its final 8-foot by 4-foot dimensions and hand-painted directly onto a wood panel over the course of the live event.
